The picture is showing how a drug, Pro-Dafalgan, is adminstrated through
infusion. An adapter with a built-in double-sided needle is placed on
top of the glassbottle containing the drug (powder). The adapter is pushed
down and the needle is penetrating the bottle's top membrane. The adapter
is then mounted to an infusion bag. The bag is carefully squeezed and
a few milliliters of natriumchloride is sent down into the bottle. The
powder is mixed with the liquid. Turn the bag upsidedown and squeeze it
gently. Air is pressed into the bottle and the drug is forced back into
the bag. The drug is then ready to be given to the patient through a standard
i.v.
